For Website and App Owners

Jsonify builds and runs data pipelines that collect publicly available commercial information — prices, products, menus, listings, availability, ratings and reviews — from websites and mobile apps, on behalf of business customers. This page is for the operators of those sources.

How Collection Works

• Pipelines read only content that is available without signing in, subscribing, or paying, unless a customer has connected their own account to your source. Jsonify permits that only for some sources and blocks it on your request (see Connected accounts);
• For websites, Jsonify honours robots.txt rules addressed to its collector, JsonifyBot, when a source is added;
• Request rates are limited, and fetched content is cached so sources are requested fewer times;
• Jsonify’s own pipelines target commercial fields, not people, and our Acceptable Use Policy prohibits customers from using them to locate or surveil individuals.

Raising Collection from Your Source

If you operate a website or app and want to raise collection from it, contact paul@jsonify.com. Tell us:

• The website or app concerned, and your role in operating it;
• What you are asking for — information about collection, a change to how your source is read, or that collection stop;
• Anything that helps us identify the traffic, such as paths or time windows.

We will review promptly. Jsonify may stop collecting from any source at any time, for all customers, and deletes the copies it holds where it is required to; where we do, affected customers are notified. Datasets already delivered to customers are theirs under our Terms. We will confirm the outcome of your request.

If your source is read for our customers through a third-party fetch provider rather than by Jsonify’s own pipelines, the same request applies: ask us to stop and we will, for all customers.

Connected Accounts

On self-serve, a customer can connect their own account to some sources, so that pipelines read what that account is entitled to see. The customer signs in themselves; Jsonify does not create accounts or hold passwords, and content collected this way is kept for that customer alone. Jsonify permits this only for some sources.

If you operate a source, you can ask Jsonify to block account connections to it, separately from or together with asking that collection stop. Use the same contact route as above. Jsonify blocks the source for connected accounts on request, for all customers, and existing sessions on it are ended.

Stopping Collection

Email paul@jsonify.com with the website or app concerned. A request to stop is applied for all customers, and we confirm the outcome. Jsonify also honours robots.txt rules addressed to JsonifyBot.

If your request is about your own personal data rather than a source you operate, use the privacy request form instead.
